This group has been together since 1995. Our theme verse is : "Trust
in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own
understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge HIM, and HE shall direct
thy paths." Proverbs 3:5-6 We believe God will give us the guidance
and understanding to teach our children based on His Word as long as
we lean on Him.
Membership:
· The family must be a member in good
standing of a like faith church.
· Dues are paid by deadline set at the
beginning of the school year.
Dissolved Membership:
· The following are reasons for removal
from the said group. The
group will vote on all dissolved memberships.
· Parties resign from group.
· The family is no longer a member in good
standing of a like faith
church or if said church’s
beliefs change.
· The family does not regularly attend
monthly parent’s meetings, classes or gym nights without notifying
President or Vice President.
· If either a parent or student shows
repetitive ungodly behavior (ex. ungodly clothing, language,
attitude…)
Participation:
· All participants of the activities of
the group must be members in good standing of the group.
· All student participants must have at
least one parent present at all activities.
If for some reason neither parent is able to attend an
agreement must be made, prior to the activity, with another group
parent for supervision of the student.
This is not to occur on a regular basis.
· A parent must volunteer or co-volunteer
for at least one class per year.
· Parents of children under 6th grade must
stay with child to aide the student in the class they are
participating in. This
is to keep the schedule on time and to make sure the volunteer
teacher/ speaker has enough help.
Visitors:
· Classes, gym nights and field trips are
closed to anyone outside of the paid group members unless individual
activities are otherwise voted on by the group.
Please refer to the group roster before extending invitations
to any parties in question.
· All visitors must be a member in good
standing of a like faith church.
· All visitors must be approved by
standing president prior to the activity.
· All student visitors must have one of
their parents present at activity.
· Visitors may attend for the purpose of
seeing how the group activities work.
· One visit per family
· Members of churches outside of First
Baptist of New Lisbon wishing to join our Home Educators group must
submit their church constitution to the standing president and will
be voted on by the group.
Dress Code:
·
Modest apparel must be worn to all activities.
Dresses, skirts, or shorts must come to at least the top of
the knees. Shirts must be long enough not show stomach and sleeves
must go to the top of the shoulders.
Speakers:
· All speakers or presentations must be
pre-approved with the standing president before scheduling.
Group Purpose:
· The purpose of the group is to edify and
encourage one another in the group in our calling to home
educate our children.
